Digital Subcommittee Raises Security Concerns Over TH-AI Pass Domain

According to a report by Thai Post on August 19, 2026, Nithikorn Boonyokulcharoen, an advisor to the opposition leader and a member of the subcommittee on enhancing Thailand's digital competitiveness, has expressed concerns regarding the TH-AI Pass registration portal. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) recently launched the system to allow citizens to pre-register for the program.

Nithikorn highlighted that the current registration website uses the domain 'de.aipass.net'. He warned that the use of a '.net' extension could potentially expose the system to security vulnerabilities, as such domains are relatively easy for third parties to register. He suggested that the government should transition to a more secure domain structure to mitigate the risk of data theft or unauthorized access to sensitive user information.

For residents and travelers planning to use the TH-AI Pass, this development serves as a reminder to monitor official government communications regarding the platform's security status.
