State Welfare Cardholders Utilize BKS Bus Discounts
Over 338,000 state welfare cardholders used government subsidies for BKS bus travel during the first ten months of the 2026 fiscal year.
According to a report from Khaosod Online, the Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) has announced that state welfare cardholders have actively utilized government travel subsidies for intercity bus services. Between October 2025 and July 2026, a total of 338,198 individuals used their welfare cards to purchase BKS tickets, amounting to a total value of 172,376,519 Thai Baht.
Under the current government initiative, eligible citizens receive a monthly allowance of 750 Baht to cover public transportation costs. Attawit Rakjamroon, President of BKS, stated that this program has been instrumental in helping citizens reduce their cost of living while facilitating travel to their hometowns and tourism destinations. BKS has expressed its commitment to supporting this government policy by continuing to improve service standards, safety, and accessibility across its network.
