The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is organizing the 'Thailand Focus 2026' event from August 26–28 to showcase 78 listed companies to international institutional investors.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has announced the upcoming 'Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand' event, scheduled to take place from August 26 to 28, 2026. According to Asadej Kongsiri, President of the SET, the initiative aims to bolster investor confidence and highlight the potential of the Thai capital market and its listed companies to a global audience.
This year, 78 companies from both the SET and mai markets will participate, representing a diverse range of industries. These firms will engage with institutional investors through individual and group meetings to discuss their business strategies. Notably, 16 companies participating in the 'JUMP+' program will present their three-year business plans, which focus on growth, corporate governance, and greenhouse gas management. The SET highlighted that the Thai stock index has recently seen a recovery of nearly 30%, ranking it as the fourth-highest performer globally.
For residents and travelers, this event signals a period of increased corporate activity and potential economic visibility for Thailand. While the event aims to attract significant capital, it remains to be seen how these business presentations will translate into long-term market stability or impact the broader cost of living and local economic conditions. Further details regarding the specific outcomes of these investor meetings are expected to follow the conclusion of the event.
