UOB Thailand Hosts 2026 Heartbeat Run to Support Digital Education
Over 2,700 participants joined the 2026 UOB Heartbeat Run to raise funds for digital learning initiatives in remote Thai schools.
On August 19, 2026, UOB Thailand organized its annual '2026 UOB Heartbeat Run,' drawing more than 2,700 participants, including bank executives, employees, their families, clients, and business partners. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the event serves as a fundraising initiative for the 'UOB My Digital Space' (UOB MDS) program.
This program, operated in collaboration with the Education Equitable Fund and the Yuvabadhana Foundation, aims to bridge the educational gap by providing technology, digital learning materials, and essential skills to schools in remote areas. Currently, the initiative supports 10 schools and has provided learning opportunities to over 5,500 students. The run is part of a broader corporate social responsibility effort held annually by the UOB Group across 18 countries.
For residents and expatriates, this event highlights the ongoing corporate commitment to improving digital infrastructure in Thailand’s underserved regions. While the event successfully mobilized thousands for a charitable cause, the specific financial total raised during this year's run has not been publicly disclosed. Further updates regarding the expansion of the UOB MDS program to additional schools remain to be confirmed by the bank.
