Security Incident Reported at Wat Pa Adulyaram
A mysterious individual on a motorcycle entered Wat Pa Adulyaram late at night, questioning temple staff about a previous incident.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a security incident occurred at Wat Pa Adulyaram on the night of August 18, 2026. CCTV footage captured an unidentified man arriving on a motorcycle equipped with a food delivery bag at approximately 10:30 PM. The man, described as having short hair and wearing casual clothing, entered the temple grounds via the Kalapaphruek Road entrance.
Upon approaching the abbot's living quarters, the individual was confronted by a temple disciple. The man reportedly demanded to know who had filmed a video during a previous event involving the surrounding of the temple. The disciple noted that the man appeared intoxicated and behaved aggressively, reaching into his delivery bag for an unknown object, which prompted the disciple to seek a defensive weapon out of fear for his safety. The individual subsequently fled the premises through the rear gate.
For residents and visitors, this incident highlights a potential security concern regarding unauthorized access to temple grounds during late hours. While the temple is a place of peace, the aggressive nature of this encounter may cause unease. It remains to be confirmed whether the individual has any connection to the previous incident mentioned or if he poses a continued threat. Local authorities have been notified, and temple staff are currently monitoring the situation.
