On August 19, 2026, Srisuwan Janya, leader of the Rak Chat Rak Phaendin organization, formally requested that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) investigate the Minister of Education, the Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission (VEC), and the Deputy Secretary-General of the VEC. The petition concerns a solar cell installation project involving 230 vocational educational institutions nationwide, with a total budget of 115 million baht.
According to Thai Post, the activist alleges that the project, which allocates 500,000 baht per institution, may involve irregularities in the procurement process, specifically suggesting that the specifications were potentially locked to favor certain vendors.
