On August 19, 2026, Nirat Pongsitthithaworn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and acting Director-General of the Department of Local Administration (DLA), addressed concerns regarding the potential removal of civil servants suspected of corruption during local government recruitment exams. Speaking at Government House, Nirat emphasized that the recruitment process underwent rigorous verification by multiple committees, including the Central Committee for Local Government Personnel (Klang Committee).

According to Khaosod Online, Nirat stated that score verification was conducted by contractors associated with Srinakharinwirot University. He clarified that while score sheets are classified documents to prevent legal complications, the integrity of the results has been cross-referenced with findings from the Central Investigation Bureau and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). He noted that the ministry has already addressed specific concerns raised by the Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organization.
