Fuel Retailers Bangchak and PTT Station Launch Competitive Discounts

Thailand's major fuel retailers, Bangchak and PTT Station, have initiated a promotional price war to attract loyalty members.

According to a report by Prachachat Business on August 19, 2026, a competitive promotional battle has emerged between two of Thailand's largest fuel retailers, Bangchak and PTT Station. To mark the 20th anniversary of its 'Green Miles' loyalty program, Bangchak is offering a discount of 1 baht per liter on all fuel types for its members. In response, PTT Station has countered with its own promotional offer, extending additional discounts for a two-day period.

This retail competition coincides with a broader market trend, as fuel prices across the country saw an increase of 0.85 baht per liter this morning. For residents and travelers in Thailand, these promotional campaigns may offer temporary relief from rising fuel costs, provided they are enrolled in the respective loyalty programs.

While these discounts provide immediate savings for motorists, the long-term duration of these specific promotional offers remains to be confirmed. Consumers are advised to check the specific terms and conditions at individual stations, as the competitive landscape in the fuel retail sector continues to evolve in response to fluctuating market prices.
