Deputy Interior Minister Exposes Illegal Chinese Business Schemes in Sakon Nakhon

Deputy Interior Minister Phonpee Suwanna recently exposed a deceptive business practice in Sakon Nakhon province, where Chinese investors allegedly used the addresses of local residents to register companies without the homeowners' consent. According to a report by Thai Post, many residents were unaware that their homes were being utilized as official business addresses.

Phonpee revealed that intermediaries have been paying locals in exchange for their house registration numbers to facilitate these fraudulent filings. The Ministry has issued a directive to revoke these registrations within five to seven days. Authorities have vowed to conduct a thorough investigation to identify all individuals involved in the scheme, promising strict legal action regardless of who is implicated.

For residents and expatriates, this situation highlights the importance of monitoring one's house registration (Tabien Baan) to ensure no unauthorized entities are linked to your property.
