Thailand Launches 'TH-AI Passport' Registration for Digital Services
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society has opened early registration for the 'TH-AI Passport' platform, which is scheduled to go live on August 31, 2026.
According to Khaosod Online, the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission (BDE) has initiated the early registration process for the 'TH-AI Passport' project. Thai citizens aged 15 and older are now invited to create accounts via the official website, de.aipass.net, in preparation for the platform's official launch on August 31, 2026.
To register, users must verify their identity using the 'Tang Rat' or 'ThaiD' applications after logging in via Google, Microsoft, or Apple accounts. The platform, known as AiPASS, is designed to serve as a centralized digital gateway for government services.
For residents and long-term visitors, this development signals a shift toward more integrated digital authentication for public services in Thailand. While the system is currently focused on Thai nationals, the move highlights the government's ongoing push to digitize administrative processes. It remains to be confirmed how this platform will interact with existing digital infrastructure or if future iterations will include provisions for foreign residents.
