Thailand’s First Hospital Gaming 'GO Kart' Debuts in Bangkok
Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital has introduced a mobile gaming station designed to support pediatric patients, marking a first for the country.
On August 18, 2026, the Hermitcraft Minecraft creator community and Gamers Outreach announced the arrival of Thailand’s first 'GO Kart' at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital in Bangkok. According to Khaosod English, the GO Kart is a specialized mobile gaming station engineered to provide video game access to children undergoing medical treatment. Scar, a member of the Hermitcraft community and a board member for Gamers Outreach, confirmed the deployment via social media.
For residents and families in Bangkok, this initiative represents a new approach to pediatric care, aiming to improve the hospital experience for young patients through interactive entertainment. While the introduction of this technology is a notable development for local healthcare facilities, it remains to be confirmed whether similar units will be deployed to other hospitals across Thailand in the future. As this is a specialized medical support tool, visitors or patients interested in the availability of such resources should consult directly with hospital administration or relevant pediatric departments. This project highlights the growing intersection of international charitable initiatives and local healthcare support in Thailand.
