Market Vendor Returns Lost Wallet to Owner in Udon Thani
A local market vendor in Udon Thani has been praised for her honesty after turning a lost wallet over to the police, leading to its successful return to the owner.
On August 18, 2026, a 52-year-old market vendor known as 'Aunt Nok' visited the Udon Thani City Police Station to hand over a lost wallet she had recovered. According to Khaosod Online, the wallet was initially found by her niece at the Municipality 2 Fresh Market in the Makkhaeng sub-district on August 16.
Upon inspection, police officers discovered the white women's wallet contained various official documents, identification cards, and 370 Thai Baht in cash. The police recorded the incident and successfully contacted the owner to facilitate the return of the property. Aunt Nok expressed that she chose to involve the authorities because she did not wish to keep items that did not belong to her, fearing the owner might be in distress without their belongings.
