Khon Kaen Land Office Files Complaint Against Estate Manager Over Missing Deed Claim
Authorities in Khon Kaen have initiated legal action against an estate manager who attempted to obtain a replacement land deed by falsely claiming the original was lost.
On August 18, 2026, the Khon Kaen Provincial Land Office officially filed a police complaint against Mrs. Buakhai Sorsamut, the estate manager for the late Mr. Hiang Phimsri. The dispute concerns land deed number 61945, which the manager claimed was lost in order to secure a replacement document.
According to Khaosod Online, the situation came to light when the abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram presented the original deed to land officials, proving it had not been lost. Investigations revealed that the estate manager had requested a copy of the deed on July 13, 2026, before filing the application for a replacement on July 27, 2026. Upon discovering the original document was in the possession of the temple, the Land Office canceled the replacement request and initiated legal proceedings for providing false information to government officials.
