SAT Board Accelerates Selection Process for New Governor
The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has moved up the final selection date for its new governor to August 19, 2026.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) board has decided to expedite the selection process for its next governor. Originally scheduled for August 27, the final decision will now take place on August 19, 2026.
The selection committee, chaired by Ministry of Tourism and Sports Permanent Secretary Nattriya Taweevong, narrowed the field of ten initial applicants down to two finalists: Dr. Meechai Inwood, Deputy Governor for Administration, and Mrs. Prodpran Samanmit, Deputy Governor for Professional Sports and Boxing. Both candidates have already completed English proficiency testing on August 10 and presented their visions during interviews held on August 13.
