Phichit Province Investigates 65 Officials Over Local Examination Fraud

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 18, 2026, Phichit Province is addressing a significant case of examination fraud involving 65 local government officials. Deputy Governor Kittipol Wetchakul confirmed that the Department of Local Administration has provided guidelines to address the issue, which involves the manipulation of test scores.
Under the current directive, the provincial authorities are required to cancel the existing lists of successful candidates where score tampering was identified and issue new, corrected lists. Local administrative organizations, including Provincial Administrative Organizations (PAO), municipalities, and sub-district administrative organizations (SAO), are expected to meet soon to formalize these actions.
For residents and expatriates, this situation highlights ongoing efforts to maintain administrative integrity within local government bodies.
