Thai Diving Team Recruits Former Coach for Asian Games 2026 Preparation

According to Khaosod Online, the Thai national diving team has enlisted the expertise of Bai Jian Ping, known as 'Coach Bai,' to prepare two elite athletes for the 2026 Asian Games. The athletes, Thitipoom Marksin and Chawanwat Juntaphadawon, are currently undergoing intensive training under his guidance.

Suchat Pichi, the head coach of the Thai national diving team, explained that the decision to bring Coach Bai to Thailand was made due to budget constraints that prevented the athletes from traveling to China for a training camp. Coach Bai, who previously served as a national team instructor, is focusing on refining the athletes' techniques, increasing their physical strength, and perfecting their diving maneuvers. The athletes are reportedly adjusting to the coach's rigorous and demanding training style.

For residents and visitors interested in local sports, this development highlights the ongoing efforts to elevate Thailand's performance in international aquatic competitions. Beyond his work with the two national athletes, Coach Bai is also sharing his expertise with the youth national team at the Thammasat University Aquatic Center in Rangsit. While his current involvement is focused on the Asian Games preparation, the possibility of hiring Coach Bai on a permanent basis remains unconfirmed, as officials stated that such an arrangement is not currently feasible.
