Minister of Natural Resources Oversees Treatment of Injured Wild Elephant

According to a report from Thai Post, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin has publicly acknowledged the efforts of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation regarding the care of a wild elephant known as 'Sidor Diao.'

Department Director-General Atthapol Charoenchansa informed the Minister that the 40-year-old elephant sustained an injury to its left hind leg. The animal was located in the forest near Ban Wang Dong, in the Mueang district of Kanchanaburi province. Wildlife officials are currently tracking the elephant to provide necessary medical treatment and monitor its recovery.

For residents and travelers in the Kanchanaburi area, this situation highlights the ongoing presence of wild elephants in the region's forests. While the authorities are actively managing the situation, it serves as a reminder to maintain a respectful distance from wildlife and to follow the guidance of park rangers if encountering animals in or near protected areas.
