Bangkok Youth Propose AI-Driven Solutions for Urban Challenges

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the 'Code Genius Junior Hackathon 2026' recently took place at the Learn Satit Pattana School. The event challenged young participants to apply coding, AI, and micro:bit technology to address real-world urban issues in Bangkok.

Key areas of focus included air quality, stray animal management, disaster response, nighttime safety, and traffic navigation. By utilizing Design Thinking, students developed prototypes aimed at creating a more inclusive and efficient city. One notable project, presented by the 'Safer' team, featured a real-time flood alert application. This tool provides users with information on nearby safe zones and rescue boat services, specifically designed to accommodate the general public, pet owners, and individuals with disabilities.
