Fatal Traffic Accident Reported on Chonburi Bypass

On August 17, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Chonburi bypass near the Ban Bueng interchange, according to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand. Local police from Mueang Chonburi station and rescue teams from the Trai Khun Tham Foundation responded to the scene following reports of a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a damaged black Honda Scoopy motorcycle and the body of a woman, estimated to be approximately 50 years old, who was pronounced dead at the scene. No identification documents were found on the victim. A white Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, which sustained front-end damage, was also present. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 30-year-old Mr. Teera, stated that he was traveling in the second lane when the motorcycle, which had been in the far-right lane, attempted to cut across to the far-left lane, leading to the collision.
