Fatal Shooting Incident Reported in Phichit Province
A 17-year-old student was fatally shot in Phichit’s Pho Thale district; police have apprehended the suspects.
On August 17, 2026, a fatal shooting occurred in Bang Khlan sub-district, Pho Thale district, Phichit province. According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, a 17-year-old student in the 11th grade (Matthayom 5) was shot four times in the chest and breast area while in front of a residence. The victim died at the scene.
Police investigators from the Pho Thale Police Station were notified that two individuals on a motorcycle without a license plate carried out the attack. Following the incident, law enforcement officers successfully apprehended the suspects. During questioning, the alleged perpetrator reportedly confessed to purchasing the firearm used in the attack online for 30,000 baht.
