Songkhla Local Authorities Investigate 68 Officials Over Exam Irregularities

According to a report from Khaosod Online, local administrative organizations in Songkhla Province are currently investigating 68 officials across 40 local government units, including sub-district administrative organizations (SAO), municipalities, and provincial administrative organizations. These individuals were flagged by the Department of Local Administration due to irregularities in their civil service examination scores.

Supasan Nusawat, a former member of the Central Committee for Local Personnel Administration, stated that provincial committees are working to meet a central deadline of August 31, 2026, to finalize the handling of these cases. The authorities are establishing standardized procedures to address the status of those affected by potential exam cancellations or removal from their positions. Furthermore, central authorities have requested that local agencies refrain from rehiring any individuals who are dismissed due to these findings in any other capacity.
