Thai authorities are seeking international legal assistance to clarify the cause of death of travel influencer Hlun Solo, who passed away abroad.
The Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) in Thailand is coordinating with the Office of the Attorney General to utilize the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) to obtain the initial autopsy report for Bawontat Pengsuk, widely known as the travel YouTuber 'Hlun Solo'.
According to Khaosod Online, the victim's brother, Somsak Butsri, provided an update via social media on August 17, 2026. He stated that the Thai Embassy received a death certificate from Georgian authorities on August 10, 2026. However, the document does not specify a clear cause of death. The family is currently awaiting further toxicology results and a comprehensive forensic analysis to understand the circumstances surrounding his passing.
