SCB Launches 'SCB Gold Marketplace' for Global Gold Trading
Siam Commercial Bank has introduced a new gold trading platform within its mobile application, allowing users to trade gold at global market rates.
According to Prachachat Business, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has launched 'SCB Gold Marketplace,' a new service integrated into the SCB EASY mobile application. This platform is the result of a partnership between the bank and three major Thai gold retailers: Hua Seng Heng, MTS Gold, and YLG.
The service allows investors to trade gold using US Dollars through an SCB e-FCD account. By utilizing this system, users can access gold prices that reflect global market rates for both 96.5% and 99.99% purity gold.
For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this development simplifies the process of gold investment by consolidating major retailers into a single digital interface. It provides a more direct link to international pricing, potentially reducing the complexity of traditional gold purchasing methods.
While the platform is now operational, details regarding specific transaction fees, minimum investment requirements, and the full scope of account eligibility for non-Thai nationals remain to be confirmed.
