According to Khaosod Online, the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) is collaborating with the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Thailand, the National Economic and Social Development Council, and the World Bank to host 'The Bangkok Business Summit 2026.'
Scheduled to take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, the summit will operate under the theme 'Reinvent Thailand, Resilient ASEAN.' JSCCIB Chairman Payong Srivanich stated that the event aims to gather insights from government, private, and international sectors to drive structural economic reforms. The summit serves as a strategic preparation for Thailand’s role as host of the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings in October and its upcoming ASEAN chairmanship in 2028.
