Major Personnel Changes at Workpoint News Morning Show

According to a report by Khaosod Online, two well-known news anchors, Banchong Cheewamongkolkarn and Supapchai 'Pae' Butr-in, are set to leave the popular morning news program 'Khao Chao Workpoint' at the end of August 2026. Banchong, who serves as the Executive Editor of Workpoint News, announced his departure via social media, confirming that he will transition to working as a full-time freelancer without a contract with the station.

This shift follows significant organizational changes within the Workpoint news division. Banchong noted that the department underwent a major budget reduction last month, which impacted approximately 60% of the news staff. He further explained that he had previously entered an early retirement program in August 2025 to help preserve the positions of younger team members, though he continued to host the morning show until now.
