While the EC clarified that this incident occurred during the 2023 general election and resulted in the official's dismissal and a referral to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), observers are questioning the timing of this dismissal, which coincided with the EC’s decision to drop a corruption case related to an Amnat Charoen MP.
