Thailand to Open M6 and M82 Motorway Sections for Free Trial in Late August 2026

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Thai government, through the Ministry of Transport and the Department of Highways, is preparing to open sections of the M6 and M82 motorways for public trial use without toll charges. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periwattana stated that the initiative aims to facilitate travel during the trial period scheduled for late August 2026.

The sections involved include the M6 motorway route between Bang Pa-in and Pak Chong, and the M82 motorway route connecting Ekkachai and Ban Phaeo.
