Khon Kaen Police Issue Summons in Land Dispute Case
Authorities in Khon Kaen have summoned a 62-year-old woman and several others for questioning regarding an alleged trespassing incident involving a land dispute.
On August 16, 2026, Police Colonel Yotsawat Kaewsuebthannit, Superintendent of Khon Kaen City Police Station, provided an update on an ongoing investigation involving a trespassing case. The police have issued a summons for Ms. Chommanee Noichan, 62, known as 'Pa Da,' with a scheduled appearance date of August 27, 2026. According to officials, Ms. Chommanee has not yet contacted the police regarding the summons.
Investigators have already interviewed several witnesses, including a cement truck driver, an assistant, and representatives from a construction materials shop. However, authorities are still seeking to question the drivers and passengers of two vans involved in the incident, who are reportedly based in Bangkok and have also been summoned. Police have warned that any individuals involved in the event who fail to report for questioning may face charges of joint trespassing.
For residents and visitors, this case highlights a complex legal dispute involving land ownership and the issuance of land title deeds at the Khon Kaen Provincial Land Office. While the temple involved has filed an objection regarding the title deed, the police are currently focused on the trespassing allegations.
