Thai Prime Minister Leads Investment Mission to Australia and New Zealand

According to Khaosod Online, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is leading an official delegation to Australia and New Zealand from August 17 to 22, 2026. The Board of Investment (BOI) is accompanying the Prime Minister to facilitate economic discussions and promote Thailand as a strategic investment destination.

Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary-General of the BOI, stated that the mission aims to leverage the technological and resource strengths of both nations. Australia is recognized for its expertise in digital sectors, energy, advanced manufacturing, and modern agriculture, while New Zealand is a global leader in dairy production, agriculture, and tourism. The Thai government intends to integrate these strengths to enhance Thailand’s own industrial base.
