According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Thai government has announced that 76% of new state welfare cardholders have successfully completed their identity verification process as of August 15, 2026. Government spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek stated that this represents 2.3 million people, an increase from the 2.1 million verified by early August.
Approximately 800,000 individuals have yet to complete the verification, down from nearly 980,000. The government is urging these remaining cardholders to finalize their identity confirmation by the August 31, 2026, deadline to ensure they can access their benefits. Relevant agencies have been instructed to provide full assistance to those completing the process.
