The initiative aims to transition 22-year-old Thai-Algerian fighter Nabil Anane, a former ONE Muay Thai bantamweight world champion, into amateur boxing with the goal of securing a medal at the 2028 Olympic Games.
Chatchai noted that Thailand has a long history of success in Olympic boxing, with many past medalists having backgrounds in Muay Thai.
