GULF Expands Solar Energy Initiative to Remote Kamphaeng Phet
Gulf Energy Development has installed solar power systems in the remote village of Ban Wung Kasang, Kamphaeng Phet, to support local education and community infrastructure.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, Gulf Energy Development (GULF) has implemented the second phase of its 'Green Energy Green Network for THAIs' project for 2026 in Ban Wung Kasang, located in the Pong Nam Ron sub-district of Kamphaeng Phet province.
The initiative focuses on installing solar power systems at the Ban Pong Nam Ron-Wung Kasang Child Development Center. By providing a reliable source of renewable energy, the project aims to improve the facility's operational capabilities, including the use of modern teaching materials, ventilation systems, and security cameras. Furthermore, the solar infrastructure has been extended to the village’s multipurpose hall and sports area to benefit the broader community.
For residents and visitors, this development highlights ongoing efforts to improve utility access in Thailand’s remote regions, potentially fostering local economic growth and improved safety standards. Wararat Putee, a teacher at the center, noted that the consistent electricity supply has significantly enhanced the learning environment and overall well-being of the children.
