Abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram Returns to Temple Following Hospitalization

On August 16, 2026, Phra Khru Adulsarnnithet, the abbot of Wat Pa Adulyaram in Khon Kaen, returned to the temple after being hospitalized overnight. According to Khaosod Online, the abbot was admitted to the hospital late the previous night due to exhaustion, low blood pressure, and low oxygen levels. He attributed his condition to the physical strain of his regular dialysis treatment, lack of rest, and stress related to ongoing land disputes involving the temple.

Following medical treatment, the abbot returned to the temple at 12:30 a.m. Doctors have advised him to return to Srinagarind Hospital immediately should his symptoms recur. Despite the health scare, the abbot remains in good spirits and has requested that the public refrain from criticizing the temple.

For residents and visitors, the temple remains a site of significant activity. Local community members and supporters have gathered to offer food and donations, while others have assisted in cleaning the temple grounds. Security remains tight, with police, military, and administrative officials monitoring the area to manage the large crowds visiting the site.
