Bangkok Hosts 22nd International Exotic Plants Show & Sale
The 22nd Bangkok International Exotic Plants Show & Sale has officially opened, highlighting the growing popularity of terrariums and rare plant species.
On August 15, 2026, the 22nd Bangkok International Exotic Plants Show & Sale, themed 'Orchids & Terrarium Plant,' commenced at Central Chaengwattana. The event was inaugurated by Jadet Jantra, Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, alongside Thanyathita Bunyamaneekul, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Extension.
According to Thai Post, the exhibition aims to reinforce Thailand's position as a global leader in the rare and exotic plant market. A primary focus of this year’s event is the 'Terrarium' trend, which organizers describe as a 'green asset' designed to suit the lifestyles of younger generations. By integrating miniature ecosystems into indoor spaces, the event promotes sustainable urban gardening.
For residents and visitors, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse botanical varieties and gain insights into modern indoor gardening techniques. It serves as a hub for enthusiasts to connect with industry experts and discover how to incorporate greenery into compact living environments. While the event highlights the current market interest in rare plants, it remains to be seen how these specific trends will influence long-term urban landscaping practices in Thailand. The exhibition is currently hosted at the Chaengwattana Hall on the 5.5 floor of Central Chaengwattana.
