Factory Worker Arrested Following Fatal Shooting in Ayutthaya
Police have apprehended a 45-year-old man in Ayutthaya province after a fatal shooting incident involving a factory worker.
On August 14, 2026, Thai authorities arrested a 45-year-old man, identified as Mr. Chandi (also known as 'Suea'), in connection with the fatal shooting of a factory worker on Rojana Road. According to Khaosod Online, the arrest followed a coordinated operation by police from the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Police, Region 1, and Bang Pa-in Police Station.
Officers tracked the suspect to a remote wooded area located between Bang Pa-in and Uthai districts. The terrain, characterized by rice fields and irrigation canals, required officers to navigate difficult access points before locating the suspect. At the time of the arrest, Mr. Chandi was reportedly found in possession of a homemade firearm and seven rounds of .38 caliber ammunition. He has reportedly confessed to the shooting during preliminary questioning.
