Four Snakes Discovered in Surin Health Center Treatment Room
Staff and patients at a sub-district health center in Surin were startled after four snakes were found inside a treatment room, prompting a rescue operation.
On August 14, 2026, a medical facility in the Chum Saeng sub-district of Chom Phra, Surin, experienced an unusual incident when four snakes were discovered inside a second-floor treatment and accident room. According to Khaosod Online, staff and patients were alarmed by the presence of the reptiles, which were identified as golden tree snakes.
Local rescue workers from the Chum Saeng Subdistrict Administrative Organization were called to the scene. Using mosquito repellent spray to flush the snakes from their hiding spots, the team spent approximately 30 minutes capturing all four individuals—three males and one female. No injuries were reported, and the snakes were subsequently released into a suitable natural habitat.
For residents and visitors, this event highlights the importance of maintaining clean and organized environments in public buildings to ensure that wildlife can be spotted quickly. While the facility’s orderly state allowed for early detection, the incident caused significant surprise among staff who had never encountered such a group of snakes in a clinical area before.
