Department of Local Administration Acts on Local Exam Fraud

According to a report by Thai Post on August 14, 2026, the Department of Local Administration (DLA) has taken formal action regarding irregularities discovered in local government recruitment examinations. The department has identified 5,925 individuals suspected of having their scores artificially inflated.

To address these findings, the DLA has officially submitted the names and relevant data of these individuals to five separate agencies under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). These agencies are now tasked with conducting further investigations and pursuing legal proceedings according to their respective authorities. The primary objective of this move is to uphold the integrity of the local government recruitment process and ensure accountability for the alleged fraud.
