Kanchanaburi Province Begins Selection Process for 2027 Princess Maha Chakri Award
Kanchanaburi education officials have held a workshop to nominate candidates for the 7th Princess Maha Chakri Award, honoring teachers who drive significant student transformation.
On August 8, 2026, representatives from the Kanchanaburi Provincial Education Office participated in a workshop held at the TK Palace Hotel & Convention in Bangkok to prepare for the 7th Princess Maha Chakri Award, scheduled for 2027. According to Khaosod Online, the session focused on drafting records of excellence for teachers nominated for this prestigious recognition.
During the event, Assistant Professor Wilaiwan Santhawakomol and Kanchanaburi Teachers' Council official Chatkul Trongkamalee represented the province. A highlight of the workshop included a presentation by Buppha Phongphaiboon, a provincial selection committee member, who shared insights on documenting the impact of "teachers who create change for their students." This initiative builds upon the province's previous involvement in the 6th edition of the award in 2025, which recognized teacher Phraiwan Yapanya from Ban Kong Mong Tha School.
