Udon Thani Entertainer Files Complaint Over Unpaid Wages
A 24-year-old freelance entertainer in Udon Thani has reported a client to the police after allegedly being denied payment for services rendered.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, a 24-year-old freelance entertainer, identified as 'Nong Ying,' filed a formal complaint with the Udon Thani City Police Station on August 14, 2026. She alleges that a male client failed to pay her 2,500 baht for services provided.
Nong Ying stated that she was initially hired by the client on August 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM, a session for which she was paid in full. However, the client contacted her again at midnight, claiming he was distressed over a recent breakup and requested her company at an entertainment venue. Out of sympathy, she agreed to the request and brought a friend to assist. Following the encounter, the client reportedly refused to provide the agreed-upon compensation.
For residents and visitors, this incident highlights the risks associated with informal service arrangements in the nightlife sector. While the entertainer has provided her account to the police, the client’s perspective remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. It is important to note that this is a private dispute regarding a service contract; the legal outcome will depend on the evidence presented to the authorities. As of now, no charges have been formally filed against the client, and the matter remains a subject of police inquiry.
