Thailand Prepares 'Thai Tiew Thai Plus 2026' Tourism Stimulus

According to Khaosod Online, the Thai government is preparing to introduce the 'Thai Tiew Thai Plus 2026' initiative, a tourism stimulus program expected to open for registration on October 1, 2026. The program aims to boost domestic travel through a co-payment model managed via the 'Pao Tang' mobile application.

Under the proposed structure, the government intends to subsidize 50% of accommodation costs. Additionally, participants may receive digital travel coupons valued at 500 to 1,000 THB per entitlement. The total support per entitlement is capped at 3,000 THB. The program is limited to 500,000 entitlements, with each individual eligible to claim up to five entitlements for use nationwide.

For residents and travelers, this initiative could significantly reduce the cost of domestic trips if successfully implemented.
