Water Management and Coastal Erosion Initiatives in Phetchaburi

On August 14, 2026, Thailand’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Suchart Chomklin, led a delegation to Phetchaburi province to oversee critical water management infrastructure. The primary event was the official opening of the Khlong Atthasit water gate in Ban Kum, Mueang Phetchaburi district. This project is intended to enhance water resource management, aiming to mitigate both flood risks and drought conditions in the region.

Following the inauguration, the Minister visited the Pak Thale sub-district in Ban Laem to inspect coastal erosion and address the accumulation of 'Kracha' (sedimentation).
