Rare Calf with 'Bodhi Leaf' Markings Discovered in Buriram

Residents of Ban Prada Cha Bok in the Charoen Suk sub-district of Buriram province have gathered to observe a seven-month-old male calf that possesses a distinct white birthmark on its forehead. According to a report by Khaosod Online, the marking is shaped like a 'Bodhi leaf,' a symbol often associated with auspiciousness in local culture.

The calf’s owner, 59-year-old Sunan, who has been raising cattle for over a decade, noted that the animal was born in January 2026. While she reported no premonitions prior to the birth, she believes the calf’s presence has brought positive changes and good fortune to her family since its arrival. Local observers have suggested that the calf may be a 'Phaya Wua' (King Cow), a creature described in ancient Thai folklore as a sign of prosperity.
