JMART Reports Significant Q2 Growth Driven by Smartphone Sales

Jay Mart Group Holdings reported a 92% increase in second-quarter profits, bolstered by its 'Lock Phone' strategy and synergy across its business portfolio.

According to a report by Prachachat Business on August 14, 2026, Jay Mart Group Holdings (JMART) has announced a strong financial performance for the second quarter of 2026. The company recorded a 92% profit growth, reaching 213 million baht. For the first half of the year, the company saw a 50% increase in profits, a trend attributed to business synergies and the success of its 'Lock Phone' smartphone sales model, which has helped push the total portfolio value beyond 21 billion baht.

Additionally, the report highlighted that the popular restaurant chain 'Suki Teenoi' contributed 165 million baht in profit. Adisak Sukumvitaya, CEO of Jay Mart Group, noted that these results reflect the effectiveness of the company's current operational strategies.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this news highlights the continued expansion of major retail and service conglomerates. While the financial growth of a large holding company may not directly impact daily tourism, it underscores the robust activity within the local retail and consumer goods sectors. It remains to be confirmed how these specific financial strategies will influence future consumer pricing or the availability of mobile device financing options for the general public in the coming quarters.
