BAM Targets 600 Billion Baht Asset Portfolio by Year-End
Bangkok Commercial Asset Management (BAM) reports a recovery in performance and plans to establish three joint-venture asset management firms to expand its portfolio.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Bangkok Commercial Asset Management (BAM) has announced a positive shift in its financial performance during an analyst meeting held to discuss its second-quarter and first-half results for 2026. The company reported a total collection of 3,513 million baht for the second quarter, contributing to a total collection of 6,539 million baht and a net profit of 451 million baht for the first half of the year.
BAM CEO Rak Vorrakitpokatorn stated that the company is focusing on building a 'Resilient Business Model' to strengthen long-term operations. Key strategies for the second half of 2026 include the establishment of three joint-venture asset management companies and a selective approach to debt acquisition. The firm aims to push its total asset portfolio to 600 billion baht by the end of the year.
For residents and investors in Thailand, this expansion signals a proactive effort by one of the country's major asset management firms to stabilize and grow its holdings amidst a recovering economic environment. While these strategic moves suggest a period of corporate growth, it remains to be confirmed how the new joint ventures will impact the broader debt market and whether the company will successfully meet its ambitious year-end portfolio target.
