King Power Reportedly Seeking Over £200 Million for Leicester City Sale

Leicester City, owned by Thailand’s King Power group, is reportedly exploring a sale of the club and its associated assets for a valuation exceeding £200 million.

According to reports from Khaosod Online, citing international outlets including The Athletic and the BBC, Leicester City is currently evaluating a potential sale of the club. The Thai-owned organization, led by chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, is reportedly seeking a valuation of more than £200 million for the transaction.

Under the initiative titled "Project Lineup," investment bank Citi Group has reportedly begun circulating documentation to potential investors. The proposed sale package is extensive, encompassing the men’s and women’s football teams, the club’s academy, the King Power Stadium, and the Seagrave training facility—a site valued at £100 million that opened six years ago. Additionally, the Belgian club OH Leuven, which is part of the King Power network, is reportedly included in the sale assets.

For residents and visitors with an interest in the Thai business landscape, this development marks a significant shift for the Srivaddhanaprabha family’s international sports portfolio. While the reports indicate that the sale process is underway, it remains to be confirmed which parties, if any, have entered formal negotiations. As of now, the club has not issued a definitive statement regarding the finalization of any deal, and the timeline for a potential ownership transition remains uncertain.
