Unidentified Body Discovered in Pa Sak River, Phetchabun
Authorities in Nong Phai district are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body found wrapped in wire and showing signs of burning in the Pa Sak River.
On July 13, 2026, police in Nong Phai district, Phetchabun province, were alerted to a grim discovery in the Pa Sak River near Ban Khlong Krabon, Moo 13, Ban Phot sub-district. A local resident, who was fishing in the area, initially mistook the remains for a piece of charred wood until noticing oil residue and wire wrapped around the object. Upon closer inspection, the resident realized it was a human body and alerted the authorities.
According to Khaosod Online, the body was found in a state of decomposition, making it impossible for investigators to immediately determine the gender. The remains were bound with wire in three locations: the left arm, the torso, and the legs. The condition of the skull and the presence of wire suggest the body may have been subjected to burning, similar to methods used in tire-burning incidents. A distinctive 'nine-peak' (Yant Kao Yod) tattoo was noted on the back of the neck, which may serve as a key identifier.
