According to Khaosod Online, the temple's abbot, Luang Phor Adul Saranithet, was absent during the police patrol as he was attending a scheduled dialysis appointment at Srinagarind Hospital. His sister, 78-year-old Nadda Cheenaphet, expressed significant concern regarding the abbot's safety and health given the ongoing tensions. She noted that she had previously advised him to relinquish the temple to those demanding the land, but the abbot remains committed to staying to serve the local community.
