GULF Expands 'Our PET Bottle' Sustainability Initiative

Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has officially entered the second year of its 'Our PET Bottle' (Khor Khuad Khong Rao) initiative. According to a report by Prachachat Business, the company is scaling up its corporate green culture efforts by extending the program from its Bangkok headquarters to seven of its office locations in the Eastern region of Thailand.

The initiative encourages employees to actively participate in the sorting and collection of plastic water bottles. In the project's first year, the company successfully diverted 1.1 tons of PET plastic bottles into the upcycling process. By expanding the program, GULF aims to further integrate sustainable waste management practices into its daily operations.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this development highlights a growing trend among major Thai corporations to adopt circular economy practices. While the initiative is currently focused on internal corporate offices, such programs reflect a broader national shift toward reducing plastic waste.
