A popular Thai folk singer experienced a freak accident when a falling coconut palm frond pierced her car's rear window.
On August 13, 2026, Thai Mor Lam singer Bai-Bon Saengthong shared a startling incident on social media involving her black sedan, registered in Yasothon (1484). While parked near a coconut tree, a large palm frond fell from above, shattering the rear window and becoming lodged inside the vehicle.
According to Khaosod Online, the singer had attempted to park in a spot she deemed safe, noting that the area had very few coconut trees. Despite her precautions, the accident occurred while she was preparing to head to a performance. Remarkably, the singer noted that this was the second time she had experienced such an incident. Following the event, she sought a traditional blessing from a monk to improve her fortune and ward off further misfortune.
