GULF Expands Waste Management Initiative to Eastern Thailand

Gulf Energy Development PCL (GULF) has announced the expansion of its 'Khor Khuad Khong Rao' (Our Bottles) initiative into its second year. Originally launched at the company's Bangkok headquarters, the program is now being implemented across seven additional GULF office locations in the Eastern region of Thailand.

The primary objective of this project is to foster a corporate culture centered on environmental sustainability by encouraging employees to actively participate in waste segregation at the source. Specifically, the initiative focuses on the collection of used PET plastic bottles, which are subsequently processed into upcycled products. By scaling this effort, the company aims to reduce plastic waste and promote a circular economy model within its operational footprint.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this initiative highlights a growing trend among major Thai corporations to adopt more rigorous waste management practices. While this specific project is currently limited to GULF’s internal office operations, it reflects a broader national push toward improved recycling infrastructure and environmental awareness.
